Doing what he does best

It's no surprise that Odin loves his birds and retrieving them. A study was conducted to rank breeds based on obedience and working intelligence and Brittany's ranked #19 in the working dog group. According to the survey his group obeys the first command 85% of the time or better though I think they may be referring to a Brittany that is at least 4 since they have a tendency to act like puppies until then.

The Best of 2009

As we look back at the year we feel very fortunate for our happiness, friends, families and so thankful for all the wonderful memories.

This year was full of exciting travel with a trip to Peru where we got see Lima, Arequipa, The Colca Canyon, Machu Picchu, Cusco and the floating islands of the Uros in Puno.

We had lots of highlights for the year such as Odin turning one, Ben and Odin getting to go hunting for the first time and catching a pheasant, taking a few hikes, camping and cheering on the Seattle Sounders FC in their inaugural season.

We also celebrated a marriage, a baby and little ones special birthdays- Toy and Dana's wedding in August, Ben's cousins- Meghanne and Sergo welcomed their son Daniel in August, the Lukecart's little one, Maya turn one in November and The Datar's celebrated Sanika's second birthday in December.

And, we celebrated another marriage milestone with our 7 year anniversary in July which marked the 10th year we've been together!
