Happy Valentine's Day

So Ben and I usually celebrate Valentine's Day with a gift for each other and maybe a dinner out, but this year, we thought it would be fun to change it up a bit. Since my mom and sisters went to Sequim for the weekend to visit my grandpa and my dad stayed home we decided to do a casual dinner of pizza at our house and head to the Everett Silvertips hockey game with my dad.

While the Silvertips lost the game we all had a good time and my dad got to play with Odin when we returned home. So while not a very romantic way to spend Valentine's Day, it was a great day. Here's looking forward to what our next Valentine's Day will hold.

Friends, Food and Football

We had a bunch of our friends over to watch the Super Bowl today .We had a great time eating (tons), drinking, watching the game and of course, playing with Odin. Plus, being in the advertising business it is always fun to see the commercials.

While we were all routing for the Cardinals to win and were on the edge of our seats at the end of the game and on the advertising front, the commercials were a bit disappointing a good time was had by all even though the Steelers ended up winning.

Odin also got a rule-breaking treat (we don't allow Odin any people food/drink) since it was a special occasion according to the Brian and Ben. They decided that since we were all drinking that he needed to share in the fun. I think Odin actually likes beer since after Brian gave him a few drops he spent the rest of the night begging for more.

Doggie Fun Time and a Visit To Grandma's

Yesterday we headed down to Magnuson Park with Odin so that he could have some fun playing with the other dogs. Odin had fun playing with a couple Boston Terriers in the small dog area. After playing with the dogs we decided to take a walk around the park and headed down to the water to let Odin play for a little while.

After having fun at the park we headed down to Auburn to visit Ben's grandma. We haven't seen her since Christmas so it was good to visit with her and see how she is doing. We are happy to see that she has adjusted well to being on her own and has settled into a routine of her own. The big treat for her was getting to see and play with Odin.

After a long day of fun we headed home where the boys decided to call it a nite and spend some quality time together while I got the house ready for our Superbowl party.
