Happy Weekend!

Were so ready for the weekend some R&R. After the last few weeks of being on the go and having Hunt Tests for Odin were looking forward to sleeping in, going to the Sounders game, a visit with family since Ben's Aunt Judi is in town and getting Odin groomed. I'm sure we'll have to mix in a few house chores and yard work along the way as well but overall a much slower paced weekend is in store.

A Birthday and Cinco de Mayo Celebration

In our house Cinco de Mayo is also known as Ben's birthday. This year we celebrated both events rather low key- a tequila shot for each of us, Chinese take-out and a hockey playoff game on TV. Happy 33rd Ben!

93 and Counting

Yesterday we all headed to Sequim to celebrate my grandpa's 93rd birthday. While his actual birthday was the 21st this was the first chance we all had to get together and take him out to one of his favorite restaurants- the 7 Cedars Casino buffet. Happy birthday Grandpa!

When we travel we try to see as much of the cities that were in and therefore take a lot of pictures. I usually post them to our flickr account so that it is easy to share them with family and friends. Well it turns out that one of Ben's pictures from our trip to Spain a few years ago was chosen for an online map of Barcelona. One small step for Ben in the world of professional photography :)

Tulip Time

One of my favorite things about spring in Seattle is the tulips when they are in bloom. Of course with spring comes the annual Mt.Vernon Tulip Festival which runs the month of April.

Happy Easter

We hope everyone had a nice Easter holiday! We had a nice ferry ride and drive over to Sequim where we headed to the 7 Ceders Casino for brunch with my grandpa and then capped off our day with a nice dinner of ham and green bean casserole. Not completely traditional aside from the ham, but definitely delicious.

I had fun this year getting into the Easter spirit and sent gift packages instead of baskets to Ben's grandma and my great aunt. Their packages each contained Lindt chocolates, a card and a cute spring themed kitchen towel. Enjoy!
